Want to work with children – but don’t know where to start?
“It’s not all child’s play” – that’s the title of a free information session aimed at helping people in Sheffield who are interested in working with children to get the chance to find out more about what’s involved.
Run by Sheffield Information Link at their city centre offices on Leopold Street, the two-hour interactive session gives participants the chance to explore what kind of jobs are available and what skills and qualities help to make a good children’s worker.
“The opportunities for working in childcare and early years have never been greater,” said Mandy Hetherington, the Early Years Recruitment Officer, “and our role is to ensure that anyone interested in this area of work can find out more about what’s involved, what training or qualifications they may need and how to get started.”
