Our Management Committee forms the governance and leadership for Sheffield Information Link, guiding the strategy and direction and ensuring effective management and delivery of the organisation. We now need new Management Committee Members who can help support, develop and lead our organisation.

It’s a two-way process and there is always lots to learn. The staff at Sheffield Information Link have taught me and continue to teach me a great deal. I am proud and very privileged to be the Chair of the Management Committee of such a high quality charity that delivers such a valuable service to the families and children of Sheffield.’
All applications are welcome and we are particularly interested in people with skills, knowledge and experience if any of the following:
- Business planning
- Financial expertise
- Strategic development leadership and management
- Fundraising and sponsorship expertise
- Employment/HR expertise
- Representatives of Young People aged 18 to 25
- People who have a personal or professional interest in children and young people
- People who are employed by large and/or umbrella voluntary sector organisations

Thecommitment we need from you is:
- Attendance at four Management Committee meetings a year including reading papers beforehand
- Keeping up to date with information posted on our Management Committee webpage
- Attendance at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Attendance at key SIL Away days/Strategic planning days (optional)
We understand that it is sometimes difficult for people to make long term commitments due to personal circumstances so we ask for a minimum commitment of one year.
Although Management Committee Members receive no fee payment, out of pocket expenses can be paid transport and refreshments.
