June's Book of the Month was selected by Semaira, one of our Information Officers. It is 'Developing Learning in Early Childhood: 0-8 years' - Tina Bruce.
Semaira explained: "I have personally used this book many times for my degree (Early Childhood Studies) and I found it very useful for both theory and practical work when looking at children's development. It is helpful for those individuals wanting to work with children or who are already working with children and is even handy for parents/carers.
This book shows how adults can support children and actively help them develop their learning in early childhood.
I really like the layout and structure of the book. It is very clearly structured, and has good diagrams to show information as well as pictures of children to illustrate the text."
